Who we are

OzarkThrive.com is a local business directory and local news feed for the Ozarks, operated by SkyVault Digital LLC, an Arkansas limited liability company doing business as OzarkThrive.com. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean SkyVault Digital LLC, and "the site" means ozarkthrive.com.

What you send us on purpose

Two forms on this site collect information, and both are entirely optional:

• The listing scan / contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, business name, town, which service you're asking about, and anything you write in the message box.
• The listing claim form. Your name, email address, phone number, and any note you add, along with which listing you're claiming.

We use this to reply to you, to work out whether we can help, and — for a claim — to confirm you're connected to the business before we change its listing. We keep these records so we know who we've spoken to.

What your browser stores

If you pick your town so the directory and stories can lead with what's near you, that choice is saved in your own browser under ozarkthrive-story-area. It stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and we can't read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

We set one cookie of our own, and only for the operator signing in to the private dashboard.

The chat widget in the corner is run by GoHighLevel and stores its own data in your browser so a conversation survives a page change. That is theirs, not ours, and it is there so you can reach a person without filling in a form.

What we don't do

• No analytics software. We don't measure or report on who visits.
• No advertising networks, retargeting, or tracking pixels.
• No selling, renting, or trading your information.
• No profiles built from your browsing.

If that changes — if we ever add analytics, for instance — we'll update this page and change the date at the top before it goes live.

Who else touches your information

Running a website means other companies are involved. These are all of them, and why:

• Hostinger hosts the site, the database, and our email. Anything stored here sits on their servers, and like any web host they keep server logs that include IP addresses.
• GoHighLevel does two things here. It runs the chat widget, which loads on every page and receives your IP address whether or not you open it. And it is the customer system we use to follow up — when you submit the contact form or start a chat, your details are copied there so we can reply and keep track of the conversation. • Google Fonts serves the typefaces on every page, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
• Google Maps and Google Places power the map and the "Reviews on Google" block on a confirmed business's page, and the private tools we use to research local businesses. When a page shows a map, Google receives your IP address to draw it. Reviews are fetched live from Google when the page loads and are not stored by us. All of this is covered by Google's privacy policy above.
• News and blog sources supply the stories on the site through their public feeds. We fetch those from our own server, so reading a headline here doesn't tell them anything about you. Clicking through to their site does, and their policies take over at that point.

We share your information with these companies only so they can do the job above. We don't give it to anyone else unless you ask us to, or the law requires it.

Business listings

The directory lists local businesses so residents can find them. Most listings were built from publicly available information about the business — its name, town, trade, and street address — and the business did not have to ask to be included.

For most companies that's ordinary business information rather than anything personal. But plenty of Ozarks trades are one person with a truck, where the business and the person are effectively the same. If that's you, we'd rather get it right than argue the distinction.

You can ask us to correct your listing, or to remove it entirely, and we'll do it. Email hello@ozarkthrive.com or use the claim form on your listing. Removal is free and we won't ask you to sit through a sales pitch first.

Email we send

We send email in response to something you did: confirming a form you submitted, sending the link that verifies a listing claim, or resetting an operator password. If we start sending anything else, it will include a way to unsubscribe.

How long we keep things

Contact and claim records are kept while they're useful for the conversation and our records. A claim verification link expires after seven days whether or not it's used. If you want your information deleted, ask us and we'll delete it, except where we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@ozarkthrive.com. We don't require an account to make a request, and we won't charge you for it.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Ask, and we'll honor them.

Children

This site is meant for adults looking for local services. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child sent us something, email us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how we handle information will be described here rather than made quietly.
